Hello (hello hello hello). Weird, that echo (echo echo echo). Well, anyway, I made it through January. I was doing really well at not buying stuff, y’all. Like, expertly well. Until yesterday, I had only purchased one item. Perhaps I was a bit too trusting of myself, you might say.

Call me Oedipus, because I experienced a tragic downfall shortly thereafter.

A vertical rectangular (tall and not very wide) painting of Oedipus by Alicia Besada. A man, who may be nude, is hunched with his knees toward his chest. He is white with beige skin and light hair. His face is scrunched. His left arm comes across his chest, so his elbow touches his folded up knees. The upper body and knees of the man are painted in full color, while the further down his legs, the paint only shows the white, shadowed outline of his body. He appears to be crouched between a doorway or small space. He is bordered on the left side by a wall, and on the right side by a smaller wall. His eyes are not open.
